Orders to Japan specifications

Due to the regulations on AliExpress, all the orders to Japan must contain a 10 or 11-digits phone number, otherwise, the orders cannot be placed to AliExpress. In the same way, because of AliExpress name identification system, there must be a space between the Name and Surname of your customers.


Let’s see below how you can deal with those issues.



Manually Changing Phone Number

Deactivate DSers’ Override phone number feature first on DSers – Setting – Other.

Delete the phone number you entered before and click on Save.

Go to DSers – Orders – Open.

On the Awaiting order tab, find the order for which you want to change the phone number according to AliExpress’ regulation, then click on Customer Detail from the top right corner of the order.

Enter a phone number that is 10 or 11-digits.

Don’t forget to Save the changes.

Now you can place the order like you normally would.



Override phone number feature

Another way you can change the phone number is to use the Override phone number feature.


Go to DSers – Setting – Other.

Enter a phone number that is 10 or 11-digits, then click on Save.

Name Spacing

It is possible that your orders will fail if the customer name is just one word in your Customer Detail like shown below

To make sure this doesn’t happen, you need to activate a setting in Shopify. Go to Shopify – Settings – Checkout and scroll down to the Form Options part

There, make sure to select “Require first and last name”

This will ensure that your customer enter their first and last name in two different fields and DSers will then automatically separate them when the order synchronize.

With the phone number override and the first and last name problems fixed, you should be able to place your orders to Japan without issues!


Now you can place the order like you normally would.
